Live Musical in Tokyo: “Chess”

The Tokyo International Players invite you to enjoy their production of the play “Chess,” to be performed from October 2nd – October 5th at Sun-Mall Theater in Shinjuku. There will be six performances in total. Tickets can be reserved online. Student discounts and Japanese audio translation are available.

In this musical, chess is a metaphor for romantic competition and East-West political intrigue. It features a love triangle with a backdrop of politics and international espionage, all set to an infectious rock and roll score. A few of the hits appearing in the musical include “One Night in Bangkok” and “I Know Him So Well.”
